Particle Damping Technology

TRIA pays special attention to the scientific and technical approach in product development. Particle Damping Technology was introduced as a result of researching the propagation of vibrations and resonances in rigid non-deformable structures. The objective of this technology is to reveal the capabilities of audio devices, due to the absorption of multidirectional vibrations of external and internal origin.

Vibration absorption is based on the conversion of kinetic energy due to the movement of particles and friction between them. The damping of vibrations is most similar to the behavior of a stone thrown into the sand. When sand particles immediately absorb and dissipate kinetic energy. Research has shown that friction is the main damping mechanism especially at a high volume fill factor.

Numerical and experimental results indicate that the best effect can be achieved when using a structure of several chambers for particles.


Particle Damping Technology is one of the most effective in passive vibration dampening, due to the ability of the particles to operate over a wide frequency range and withstand a long service life
